Give online

One-time or monthly, by card, in about a minute. We use Zeffy, which charges nonprofits nothing at all — no platform fee and no card processing fee. 100% of what you give reaches Help Missouri.

Monthly giving is the most useful support we receive. It lets us commit to a repair before the money is fully in hand, instead of taking jobs one at a time.

How to give exactly the amount you typed

Zeffy’s checkout adds an optional tip for Zeffy on top of your donation. It isn’t part of your gift to us, and we receive the same amount either way. To set it to zero:

Continue to the payment screen.
Click the dropdown next to the added %.
Choose Other.
Set the amount to 0.

Already gave and paid it? Open your Zeffy confirmation email, click Learn more by the receipt details, and ask for that part back. Your donation to us isn’t affected.

Donor FAQ

Are my donations tax deductible?

Yes. Help Missouri is an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation (EIN 99-3624455) and donations are tax deductible. A donation receipt is sent to each donor's address by January 31st of the year following the year the donation was made, or before. You can see the IRS determination letter on our credentials page.

Does any of my donation get taken in fees?

No. Zeffy covers all platform and card processing costs, so 100% of your gift reaches Help Missouri, and checks cost us nothing to accept either.

Zeffy pays for itself by asking you for a separate optional tip at checkout. It’s added on top of your donation, it goes to Zeffy rather than to us, and we receive exactly the same amount whether you pay it or not. To set it to zero: on the payment screen, click the dropdown next to the added %, choose Other, and set the amount to 0.

Can I give monthly?

Yes — choose “Monthly” at the top of the donation form. Recurring donations are the most valuable kind of support we receive, because they let us commit to repair jobs before the money is fully in hand.

Where does the money actually go?

Into home repairs and direct aid for Missouri citizens in poverty. We estimate 60–70% of your donation goes directly into that work today, and we're building toward 80% of every donation as the organization matures.

Can I donate materials or labor instead of money?

Get in touch at management@helpmissouri.org. Building materials and skilled trade time both go a long way in this line of work.
